What does “semi-automatic” mean on the YS series?

Every function — burner, drum speed, airflow, cooling, discharge — is driven from the Siemens touch screen, but the operator decides when to change them. The interface is the same from YS-6 to YS-360, so staff trained on a 6 kg run the 30 kg. A push-button panel instead of the screen is available at the same price. Which YS models are available in electric?

YS-6KG, YS-12KG and YS-15KG can be built with electric heating tubes on 380 V three-phase at the same price as gas; YS-20 and above are gas only. Gas YS-6/12/15 run their motors and controls on single-phase 220–240 V. Electric models ship without a plug and are hard-wired to a breaker — see the voltage guide.

What loader comes with YS production models?

YS-20 to YS-360 include the YS automatic loading feeder (without weighing); YS-240 and YS-360 also include a destoner. YS-6/12/15 take the optional TSL-YS loader built for their hopper height (USD 2,285–2,950; weighing option available). More in green bean loaders and silos.

Can a YS roaster run all day?

Yes. The independent stirring cooling plate cools a batch in 1–2 minutes while the next one roasts, so the machine runs 24 hours continuously; the separated chaff bucket empties without stopping. How cooling affects the cup: cooling and quenching.

What is the lead time for YS roasters?

YS-20 to YS-60: 60–90 working days. YS-120 and above: three to six months, confirmed with drawings before production. For YS-6/12/15 ask for the current lead time when you request a quote — it depends on colour and stock. Every machine passes three factory inspections before crating — see three-stage QC.
