The 120kg Coffee Roaster: Plant Equipment, Priced in the Open
A 120kg coffee roaster stops being a machine you buy and becomes plant you commission. Yoshan quotes two. The SD-120KG Pro is a finished line at USD 99,999 — roaster, green-bean loader, destoner and afterburner — taking 100–200 kg charges through an 18–25 minute cycle and handing back 200–240 kg of roasted coffee an hour, cooled in three to five minutes. The YS-120 is the semi-automatic route at USD 59,599 with its loader. Both roast by full hot air, the method we use on every machine from 120 kg upward, and both are built to order, which is why the YS-120 is quoted at three to six months rather than weeks.

What Is Built Into Every 120kg Coffee Roaster
Who Runs a 120kg Coffee Roaster
Four kinds of buyer reach this capacity, and what each of them is really buying.

You supply a country or a region and the roast runs in planned shifts rather than when orders arrive. At 200–240 kg an hour the SD-120KG Pro covers a tonne in roughly four to five hours of running, and because the destoner and afterburner are inside the line price, the only open questions at commissioning are ducting, gas pressure and where the pallets sit.

A brand with its own factory needs the profile signed off centrally and repeated without argument. The Pro stores the approved curve and runs it under Siemens control; the machine is finished in the group's colour with its logo, and the floor plan we issue with the quotation is the drawing your project engineer will build the room around.

Roasting at origin for export containers means gas supply and spare parts matter more than anything printed on a specification sheet. The YS-120 at USD 59,599 is a full hot-air machine with its loader included, and the bearings, burner and cyclone your own technicians will service belong to the same family of parts as on our smaller roasters.

You are building a roasting plant for a client, or selling one in your market. Roaster, loader, destoner, afterburner, grinder and packing equipment are quoted together and shipped together, finished in your colours; our engineer can attend commissioning, as he did for a 6–12 kg line of ours in Myanmar, working with the customer's own technicians.

USD 99,999 Is the Line, Not the Roaster
The SD-120KG Pro price covers four machines that have to work together: the 120kg coffee roaster itself, the vacuum loader that keeps a 200 kg charge moving, the destoner that protects a cast-iron drum, and the afterburner on the flue. Quoting them separately is how plant budgets drift. With the YS-120 at USD 59,599 the loader is included; the destoner is USD 4,469 and the afterburner is sized against your flue and quoted with the line.
What Full Hot Air Changes at This Size
From 120 kg upward every Yoshan machine roasts by moving hot air rather than by flame under the drum. Across a 200 kg charge that is what keeps the outside of the batch from running ahead of the middle, and it is why a 120kg coffee roaster can hold an 18–25 minute cycle without scorching. The drum is still cast iron, so it carries heat between charges instead of recovering from zero each time.

Three-Phase Power and 28 m³/h of Gas
A 120kg coffee roaster runs on three-phase 380 V, with the full-load current written on your quotation so cable and breaker can be sized before the container arrives. The SD-120KG Pro burns natural gas at 28 m³/h or LPG at 13 m³/h, and your gas fitter needs that figure — plus the supply pressure on the drawing — before pipework is laid. We set burner and regulator for your gas before the machine is crated.
Flue, Afterburner and Dust
Three things can sit on the exhaust of a 120kg coffee roaster. Cyclones are standard. The afterburner is inside the SD-120KG Pro price and quoted separately with the YS-120. Electrostatic filtration, for sites where visible smoke is the issue, handles 10,000 m³/h in this class and is quoted with the line rather than listed at a fixed price, because it is configured to your duct run. Which combination your site needs is your authority's call.

Why the YS-120 Is Quoted at Three to Six Months
Machines in this class are not built until they are ordered, and the components that set the pace — cast drum, burner train, Siemens panel, heavy fabrication — are themselves ordered in. Three to six months is the window our factory quotes for the YS-120 and the classes above it, confirmed when you book the build slot. Use that time for the room: floor, three-phase supply, gas line, flue route and access for the crate.
Commissioning, Acceptance and Warranty
Your 120kg coffee roaster is test-roasted with green coffee before crating and the video reaches you with the crate photographs, before the balance falls due. Warranty runs twelve months from the day the goods arrive, or twenty-four for USD 699 taken at order. For a plant of this size our engineer can attend commissioning and train your operators; certificates are listed on the certifications page.

FAQ
The SD-120KG Pro at USD 99,999 is quoted as a line: roaster, green-bean loader, destoner and afterburner. The YS-120 at USD 59,599 includes its loader; the destoner is USD 4,469 and the afterburner is sized against your flue and quoted with the line. Grinder and packing equipment are optional on the same quotation.
The SD-120KG Pro is rated 200–240 kg of roasted coffee an hour on 100–200 kg charges with an 18–25 minute cycle and three to five minutes of cooling. What that means per day depends on how many shifts you run, so we put the calculation in writing for your roast level rather than print a daily headline.
Because our 2026 catalogue does not print batch size, output, cycle time or gas consumption for that model. Those figures are confirmed in writing on your quotation for the configuration you order, together with the floor plan for your building. We would rather leave the gap than publish an estimate you would plan a gas line around.
The YS-120 is quoted at three to six months from order, confirmed with the factory when the build slot is booked; the SD-120KG Pro date is stated on your quotation. Heavy fabrication, the cast drum, the burner train and the Siemens panel set that pace, and we send photographs while the machine is on the floor.
Three-phase 380 V, with the full-load current on your quotation so the cable and breaker can be sized in advance. The SD-120KG Pro burns natural gas at 28 m³/h or LPG at 13 m³/h; supply pressure and pipe sizing are on the drawing, and we set the burner and regulator for your gas before the machine is crated.
The SD-120KG Pro line price includes one. With the YS-120 it is sized against your flue and quoted with the line. Where visible smoke rather than odour is the issue, electrostatic filtration for this class handles 10,000 m³/h and is quoted with the line as well, because the unit is configured to your duct run.
No. From 20 kg upward we build gas machines only, natural gas or LPG. Electric heating is available on our 15 kg machines and below. If electricity is the only supply you can rely on at this capacity, tell us what is available on site and we will say what can be done rather than quote something we do not build.
Two SD-60KG Pro lines cost USD 123,998 against USD 99,999 and actually roast more — 300–360 kg an hour against 200–240 — with redundancy and two profiles running at once. The single 120 costs less, needs one operator, one flue and one gas run, and occupies less floor. Send us your product mix and we will lay both out with landed figures.
Sizing Guide: Specifying a 120 kg Line, YS-120 or SD-120KG Pro, and the Project Timeline
What the Project Looks Like
A 120 kg line is a construction project with a roaster in it. The building needs a floor that carries the machine and the crate that brings it, three-phase power at the machine position, a gas supply that holds pressure at 28 m³/h, a flue route that satisfies your authority, and access wide enough for delivery. Because the YS-120 is quoted at three to six months, that work runs in parallel with the build rather than after it — which is the single biggest difference between this class and a 30 or 60 kg installation.
YS-120 or SD-120KG Pro
USD 59,599 buys the YS-120: semi-automatic, full hot air, loader included, Siemens control, finished in your colour. USD 99,999 buys the SD-120KG Pro as a line — 100–200 kg charges, 200–240 kg an hour, 18–25 minute cycles, cooling in three to five minutes, cast-iron drum, stored profile, with destoner and afterburner already in the figure. The decision is rarely about roast quality; it is about whether the plant runs on one roastmaster's judgement or on a profile that survives shift changes and staff turnover.
Why the YS-120 Numbers Are Not Printed Here
The 2026 catalogue lists the price and the configuration for the YS-120 but not its batch size, hourly output, cycle time or gas consumption. We do not fill those gaps with estimates. Ask for a quotation and the figures come back in writing for the machine you are ordering, with the floor plan beside them — which is also the document your gas fitter and electrician will work from.
One Hundred and Twenty, or More
Above this class the SD-240KG Pro is USD 149,999 with loader and destoner, the afterburner quoted separately, and the 300 kg class starts at USD 139,999 for the YS-360. Those machines are specified per production line rather than sold from a page, which is why they sit on the industrial page with a quotation route rather than a specification table. If your annual tonnage is pressing against what 200–240 kg an hour delivers, that is the conversation to start.
Landed Cost, Payment and Acceptance
Both prices are EXW Shenzhen. Ocean freight, insurance, a DDP line to your door, and any grinder or packing equipment appear on the same quotation, so the number you compare between suppliers is the delivered one. Payment is half to open the order and half before shipment, after the test-roast video. Warranty is twelve months from arrival, twenty-four for USD 699, and commissioning with your technicians can be arranged for the whole line.
