500g Coffee Roaster

500g Coffee Roaster

The EC-500G 500g coffee roaster is fully electric: 200–500 g per batch, 2.5 kW on 220–240 V with the plug fitted, a 7-inch touchscreen with data logger and the Artisan module included — USD 1,699 EXW. No gas line, no fitter, no permit.

One Model, One Price, Artisan Included

The EC-500G is the only 500g coffee roaster we build, so the price list is short: the roaster with its Artisan module, and the logo plate if you want your brand on it. Below and above it sit the 100 g gas sample roaster and the 1 kg production roaster from the same factory. See all 27 commercial coffee roaster models and prices.

  • Matt black with your logo; USD 1,699 EXW; CE and RoHS

The EC-500G is the 500g coffee roaster you plug into a wall socket and roast on the same afternoon. A 304 food-grade stainless drum holds 200–500 g of green coffee, heated by 2.4 kW of electric elements with no gas line, cylinder or fitter, so it goes into a training room, a café back bar or an office lab where gas is not allowed. The 7-inch touchscreen draws the curve as you roast and the data logger keeps it; the Artisan module is in the price. Chaff goes into the built-in cyclone, the batch drops into a separate cooling tray, and the whole roaster stands 500 × 300 × 580 mm at 33 kg — matt black, with your logo if you want it, USD 1,699 EXW.

Gas alternative SD 100G Plus, 100–120 g LPG sample roaster, USD 899

Everything in the EC-500G runs on electricity: 2.4 kW of heating elements under the drum, the drum motor, the exhaust fan and the cooling fan, 2.5 kW in total on a single-phase 220–240 V 50/60 Hz supply. That is a dedicated wall socket of the kind an ordinary kitchen or classroom already has, and the roaster ships with the plug for your country fitted — the only electric model in our range that does.

In 110–120 V markets the elements need either a 220 V supply — which many commercial premises can have installed — or a step-up transformer sized for 2.5 kW, so tell us the country before you order and we confirm what works. Heat, exhaust and drum speed each adjust in ten steps from the touchscreen, and an overheat cut-out stops the elements if the drum runs past its limit. If you would rather roast on gas at the sample bench, the SD 100G Plus is the 100 g LPG machine at USD 899.

USD 1,699 is the machine price EXW Shenzhen: the roaster body with its built-in chaff cyclone, the separate cooling tray, the touchscreen with data logger and the Artisan module, the sampling trier, tool kit and manual — two pieces in a plywood export case on a pallet, film-wrapped and photographed before dispatch. Air express is the normal route for a 33 kg case, so the transit after dispatch is days rather than weeks — or it rides by sea alongside a grinder or a bigger roaster. The quotation breaks out freight and insurance, adds a DDP line with duties where you want one, and the invoice, packing list and HS code reach your broker before the case does.

Payment is 50% to start and 50% before shipment, by bank transfer, PayPal or a card link — a single machine can be paid in full if you prefer — with the test-roast video of your own machines before the balance. A logo plate adds a few days, confirmed on your proforma invoice. Warranty runs one year from delivery: parts go out by courier, and our engineer walks you through anything the manual leaves out over a video call.

Warranty. One year from delivery on the machine. A part that fails without human damage is replaced and sent by courier at our cost, and you have lifetime technical support by phone and online — the same after-sales terms as the rest of our roasters.

Getting started. The manual covers unpacking, the first power-up and the first roast; for anything it does not cover, our engineer works through it with you on a video call. The plug for your country is fitted before shipping, so the 500g coffee roaster is roasting the day it arrives.

Spares and service. Elements, fans, belts and the touchscreen are stocked at the factory. Send your serial number and a photo of the part and we quote it the same day; your own technician can fit it with the tool kit in the case.

Who Runs a 500g Coffee Roaster

Four ways you can put the EC-500G to work — anywhere with a wall socket.

Coffee Schools and Training Rooms
Coffee Schools and Training Rooms

You teach roasting in a classroom that has no gas line and never will. The EC-500G plugs into a 220–240 V socket, shows the curve on a 7-inch screen every student can read, and stores the roast so the next class starts from the same profile. Ten-step controls make each change a number you can write on the board.

Single-Origin Cafés and Kiosks
Single-Origin Cafés and Kiosks

You want to roast the coffee you serve, a few kilos a week, behind a bar that has an outlet and a window but no gas. At 200–500 g a batch and 5–20 minutes a roast, the EC-500G fills a week of the counter in an afternoon, and at 500 × 300 × 580 mm it fits where a grinder does. Your logo goes on the plate.

Importers and Cupping Labs
Importers and Cupping Labs

You need more than a 100 g sample when a customer wants to taste a lot in three roast levels. The EC-500G roasts 200–500 g with the data logger recording every batch, so you can cup three profiles of one coffee side by side and send the buyer the curves. Pair it with the 100 g gas roaster for single-bag samples.

Micro-Roasteries Starting Out
Micro-Roasteries Starting Out

You are testing whether people will buy your coffee before you buy a production roaster. The EC-500G is a real drum machine with Artisan logging at USD 1,699, so the profiles you develop scale to the 1 kg and 3kg roasters from the same factory when the orders come — and it stays on as your sample machine.

Plug In and Roast — No Gas, No Fitter

Plug In and Roast — No Gas, No Fitter

Most 500g coffee roasters need a gas line or a cylinder and someone to connect it. The EC-500G needs a 220–240 V socket: 2.4 kW of elements heat the drum, the fans and motor take the rest of the 2.5 kW, and the plug for your country is already on the cable. That is why customers order it for a training room, a rented café unit or an office lab where gas is not allowed.

Touchscreen Profiles You Can Repeat

The 7-inch touchscreen draws the roast curve in real time and the data logger stores it, so a good batch becomes a profile you run again tomorrow or hand to the next operator. Heat, exhaust and drum speed each move in ten steps from the same screen, and the Artisan module — included in the price of this 500g coffee roaster — puts the same data on your laptop for the lab record.

Touchscreen Profiles You Can Repeat
200–500 g, Back to Back

200–500 g, Back to Back

Charge anything from 200 g for a sample to 500 g for the counter — 600 g at most — and roast in 5–20 minutes depending on the level you want. The batch drops into a separate cooling tray with its own fan and cools in 1–2 minutes while the drum comes back to temperature, so this 500g coffee roaster works batch after batch through a session instead of one and a rest.

Chaff Cyclone Built In, Cooling Tray Alongside

Chaff is the mess of a 500g coffee roaster indoors. The EC-500G separates it in a cyclone built into the body, so you empty a tray rather than clean a duct, and the exhaust runs to a window or an extractor hood. The cooling tray stands beside the roaster at 260 × 230 × 230 mm, which keeps roasted coffee out of the chaff and the whole set on one bench.

Customers who bought this 500g coffee roaster from our factory store wrote back: "really capable of roasting a 500g load. Screen works well. Build quality is very good too" (Spain, 2021) and "Roasting is very great for specialty coffee. Can roast 500 grams" (Philippines, 2021). You get the same machine, built in our own plant, with the test-roast video before it ships.

Crated for Air Freight, CE and RoHS

Your 500g coffee roaster leaves in a plywood export case on a pallet, film-wrapped and photographed, with the commercial invoice, packing list and HS code sent ahead for customs, and air transit after dispatch is a matter of days. Its CE certificate (Machinery and Low Voltage Directives, AH2023062101) and RoHS report (AH2023062102) are on file — see the certifications page — and copies travel with the quotation.

Choosing a 500g Coffee Roaster: Electric or Gas, Indoors, and What It Costs Landed

500 g or 100 g

A 100g roaster judges coffee one bag at a time; a 500g coffee roaster makes enough to sell a little of it. If your samples arrive in 100–300 g bags and you cup them, the SD 100G Plus at USD 899 is the tool. If you also want to fill a week of a café counter, teach a class where every student roasts a real batch, or cup one coffee at three roast levels, the EC-500G's 200–500 g drum does that, and many labs run both.

Electric or Gas at 500 g

At 500 g the choice is mostly about the room. Gas responds faster and costs less to run, which is why our 100 g and 1kg roasters offer it; electric needs nothing but a socket, which is why the EC-500G exists as a 500g electric coffee roaster rather than a converted gas one. 2.4 kW of elements bring a 500 g charge through a 5–20 minute roast with the ten-step heat control doing what a gas valve would, and there is no flame in a classroom, a rented unit or an office.

Setting Up Indoors

You need a 220–240 V socket on a dedicated circuit, a bench that takes 33 kg, and a route for the exhaust — a window, an extractor hood or a short duct to outside. Chaff stays in the cyclone tray; roast smell and a little smoke still come out of the exhaust, so plan the route before the roaster arrives, and ask us to quote a smoke filter for the duct if the discharge point is close to neighbours.

Voltage and Plug

The EC-500G is built for 220–240 V at 50 or 60 Hz and ships with the plug for your country fitted. In 110–120 V countries the elements need a 220 V supply or a transformer sized for 2.5 kW, so ask us before ordering: for some sites the answer is a gas roaster instead. Tell us the country and the socket type and the quotation states exactly what arrives on the cable.

Price and Lead Time

USD 1,699 buys the complete machine EXW Shenzhen with the Artisan module in the price; a logo plate is quoted on request. Two pieces in one plywood case, air express after dispatch, and a quotation that already shows freight and a DDP figure, so the landed cost is known before any money moves. Payment is 50% to start and 50% before shipment — a single machine can be paid in full — with the test-roast video before the balance.

Is the 500g coffee roaster fully electric?

Yes. The EC-500G heats with 2.4 kW of electric elements — 2.5 kW total with the motor and fans — on a single-phase 220–240 V 50/60 Hz supply. There is no gas line, cylinder or burner, and the plug for your country is fitted before it ships.

Not directly. The elements are built for 220–240 V, so a 110–120 V site needs either a 220 V supply — in the United States many commercial premises can have one installed — or a step-up transformer sized for 2.5 kW, which is bulky. Tell us your country and socket type before ordering and we confirm what works; where neither is practical, the gas SD 100G Plus or the DY-1KG is the better buy.

200–500 g of green coffee per batch, 600 g at most, in 5–20 minutes depending on the roast level. The batch cools in the separate tray in 1–2 minutes while the drum comes back to temperature, so you roast back to back through a session.

Yes to both. The 7-inch touchscreen draws the curve as you roast and the data logger stores every batch to replay later; heat, exhaust and drum speed each adjust in ten steps. The Artisan module is included in the price, so the same data logs to your laptop.

Chaff is caught in the built-in cyclone, so what leaves the exhaust is roast smell and a little smoke. Run the exhaust to a window, an extractor hood or a short duct outside — that route is needed either way; where the smoke itself is the problem, ask us to quote a smoke filter for the duct.

The roaster body with cyclone and touchscreen, the separate cooling tray, the Artisan module, sampling trier, tool kit and manual — two pieces in a plywood export case on a pallet. At 33 kg it goes by air express — transit after dispatch is days rather than weeks — with invoice, packing list and HS code sent ahead.

Yes. The EC-500G is matt black and takes an OEM logo plate in white or black, fitted at the factory; schools and coffee brands order it this way. Custom body colours are not offered on this model — the 100 g gas roaster is the one that comes in six colours.

Buy the EC-500G if you have no gas, teach roasting, or sell a few kilos a week from a counter; buy the DY-1KG at USD 2,599 if you need 1 kg batches and gas is available. Plenty of roasteries own both: the EC-500G does samples and profile work next to the production drum.
