One Model, Six Colours, One Price
The SD 100G Plus is the only 100g coffee roaster we build, so the price list is short: the machine and the Artisan kit. If your samples are bigger than a bag, or your lab has no gas, the electric EC-500G and the DY-1KG are the next two steps from the same factory. The SD 100G Plus is a 100g coffee roaster built for one job: roasting a single green-coffee sample so you can cup it the same afternoon. Its solid 2 mm 304 stainless drum turns at 50 rpm above an LPG burner fitted with a pressure gauge, so the flame you used on Monday is the flame you use on Friday. Electricity only drives the 30 W motor, which is why the roaster works in 110 V countries with a small transformer. At 344 × 313 × 362 mm and around 10 kg it sits on a lab bench or travels to a trade booth, and it ships in six colours at USD 899 EXW — the second-generation model, with the gauge and a connector for small canisters or big cylinders.

Your SD 100G Plus burns LPG — the propane/butane sold in small camping canisters and in the big cylinders every restaurant uses. The burner carries a pressure gauge, so you set the flame by number and repeat it tomorrow, and the 3/8 inch connector takes either bottle size: most cupping labs keep a small canister on the bench. The burner is set for LPG at the factory, so ask us before you connect natural gas.
Electricity only turns the drum. The motor is 30 W at 220 V / 50 Hz, so you plug into any ordinary socket in a 220–240 V country; in 110–120 V markets — Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, the United States — a small step-up transformer of the kind sold for a laptop is all you need, and we fit the plug for your country before shipping. If you cannot have gas indoors at all, the answer is the fully electric EC-500G at 200–500 g, not a converted 100 g.
What is in the price. USD 899 is the machine price EXW Shenzhen: the roaster with its drum cover in your colour, the burner and gauge, the chaff and cooling trays, the sampling spoon, the tool kit and the manual, in a carton on a wooden base. Your quotation lists air-express freight, insurance and, where you want it, a DDP price with duties on a separate line; the commercial invoice, packing list and HS code go out with the shipment for your customs broker. At around 10 kg it travels by air express, so the transit after dispatch is days rather than weeks.
Payment and lead time. 50% to start and 50% before shipment, by T/T, PayPal or card on a payment link — a single machine can be paid in full if you prefer — with a test-roast video of your machines before the balance. Stock colours ship first; a custom colour or a logo adds paint and curing time, confirmed in writing on your proforma invoice rather than promised here.
Warranty. One-year limited warranty from the day you receive the goods: any part that fails without human damage is replaced, with spare parts sent by air express at our cost, and you have 24/7 lifetime phone and online technical support.
Getting started. The manual covers gas connection, first light-up and the first sample roast; for anything it does not cover, our engineer walks you through it on a video call. The burner is set for LPG and the plug fitted for your country before shipping, so the 100g coffee roaster is roasting the day it arrives.
Spares. Wearing parts for the SD 100G Plus are stocked at the factory and sent by courier; send your serial number and a photo of the part and we quote it the same day.
What Is Built Into the 100g Coffee Roaster
Who Runs a 100g Coffee Roaster
Four ways you can put the SD 100G Plus to work — one sample bag at a time.

You approve a container on the strength of one 100g bag. Roast it on the SD 100G Plus at the same gauge setting as the last lot, cup it the same afternoon and send the buyer a cupping score that was reached under identical conditions. Ten machines at USD 799 each put the same roaster in every origin office.

Your lab needs every sample roasted the same way by whoever is on shift. The pressure gauge turns the flame into a number, the fixed 50 rpm drum removes one more variable, and the sight window and spoon keep the roast readable. Four colours on one bench let you assign a roaster to each grader without mixing samples.

You teach roasting on a machine students can see into. The SD 100G Plus shows first crack through the window, the spoon pulls beans mid-roast, and a 100g charge means every student roasts a real batch instead of watching one. Schools order in one colour with their logo, and the 10-unit price applies to a classroom set.

You keep a 100g roaster beside the 1 kg or 3 kg production machine to test a new green lot before you buy a pallet of it. Roast the sample, log the curve with the Artisan kit, and scale the profile to the drum you sell from — the same gas-drum principle, one bag at a time.

One Sample Bag, One Roast
Green-coffee samples arrive in bags of 100–300 g, and one bag is one cupping flight. A 100g coffee roaster does one bag in one batch with nothing left over and nothing to blend, which is why cupping labs, Q-grader courses and exporters settled on 100 g. The SD 100G Plus holds that charge in a solid 2 mm 304 stainless drum, so you cup exactly the sample you were sent.
A Gas Drum, Not a Hot-Air Popper
A 100g coffee roaster sold for the kitchen blows hot air through a glass jar. The SD 100G Plus is a scaled-down drum roaster with a gas flame under the drum, the same principle as our 1 kg and 3 kg machines, so what you learn on the sample transfers to the production roast. That is what makes a sample repeatable enough to buy a container on.

Log It in Artisan
With the optional communication kit your 100g coffee roaster talks to Artisan, the free roast-profiling software most labs already run: bean temperature on screen, every sample roast saved and named, and the curve ready to replay when the lot is bought and moves to the production roaster. The kit is USD 199, fitted at the factory; without it you roast by gauge, timer and eye, as many cuppers prefer.
Six Standard Colours, Your Logo on Request
Red, yellow, blue, green, black and silver drum covers are standard, so a stock-colour 100g coffee roaster ships first, without waiting for paint. If you want ten in one colour for a school, or a Pantone to match your lab, we paint the cover and add your logo at the factory and send pre-paint photos for approval. The base and trays stay black — the part you handle and clean.

From the Factory That Builds the 300 kg Lines
Your 100g coffee roaster is made in the same plant as our 30–300 kg industrial roasting lines and carries the same paperwork: CE certification under the Machinery and Low Voltage Directives (AH2023062101) and a RoHS report (AH2023062102), with copies of every certificate sent with the quotation. We have built drum roasters since 1990, today in our Shenzhen plant.
Crated for Air Freight, Photographed Before It Leaves
At around 10 kg your 100g coffee roaster travels by air express in a carton on a wooden base, film-wrapped and photographed before dispatch, with the commercial invoice, packing list and HS code sent ahead for your customs broker. Air transit after dispatch is a matter of days, and a DDP price with duties shown separately is on the quotation for the countries that ask for it.

Choosing a 100g Sample Coffee Roaster: Sample Size, Gas or Electric, and Landed Cost
100g or 500g: Which Sample Roaster
A 100g coffee roaster is for judging coffee; a 500g roaster is for making a little of it. If what lands on your bench is sample bags from origin, the SD 100G Plus roasts one bag per batch and you cup the same afternoon. If you also want to roast a kilo or two a day for the café next door, the 200–500 g EC-500G, or the DY-1KG at 0.2–1.5 kg, does both jobs at the cost of a larger machine. Many labs run the 100 g beside a production roaster rather than instead of one.
Gas or Electric
The SD 100G Plus is gas because a flame under a small drum responds in seconds and costs almost nothing to run: a camping canister lasts many sample sessions, and the gauge makes the setting repeatable. An electric sample roaster is the choice where a gas canister is not allowed indoors — some office buildings and schools — and for that we build the EC-500G, fully electric at 2.5 kW with a touchscreen and data logger. There is no electric version of the 100g drum; converting one would lose the gauge and the speed.
Why the Drum Speed Is Fixed
You may be used to adjustable drum speed on a larger roaster. At 100 g the bean bed is a few centimetres deep and 50 rpm keeps it moving evenly without throwing it against the drum wall; the variables that change a sample roast are the flame and the time, both of which you control. A fixed speed is one less thing to record and one less thing to drift between roasts.
Setting Up in a 110 V Country
The only electrical load is the 30 W drum motor at 220 V / 50 Hz. In Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, the Philippines' 110 V areas or the United States, a small step-up transformer sold for laptops and shavers runs it; the gas side does not care about voltage at all. Tell us the country when you order and the plug is fitted to match. Roast under a window or a kitchen hood: a 100g batch produces little smoke, but chaff and roast smell are real and the chaff tray fills.
Price, Quantity and Lead Time
USD 899 buys the complete machine EXW Shenzhen; from ten units the price is USD 799 each, which is where coffee schools, distributors and multi-office importers order. The Artisan communication kit is USD 199. Stock colours ship first, by air express; the quotation shows freight and a DDP option so you know the landed cost before you pay. Payment is 50% to start and 50% before shipment — a single machine can be paid in full — with a test-roast video before the balance.
The SD 100G Plus is gas: an LPG burner with a pressure gauge under a 2 mm stainless drum, and electricity only drives the 30 W drum motor. If you need a fully electric sample roaster, we build the EC-500G at 200–500 g for USD 1,699.
Yes, with a small step-up transformer. The only electrical part is the 30 W drum motor at 220 V / 50 Hz, so a laptop-size transformer is enough, and the gas burner does not depend on voltage. Tell us the country and we fit the matching plug before shipping.
LPG, which is the propane/butane sold in small camping canisters and in ordinary household or restaurant cylinders. The 3/8 inch connector takes a small canister beside the machine or a hose from a big bottle. The burner is set for LPG at the factory; ask us before connecting natural gas.
100–120 g of green coffee per batch — one sample bag. The drum is 2 mm solid stainless, so you can charge the next sample as soon as the first is dropped and the drum is back to temperature; labs run sample sessions of many consecutive roasts on it.
With the optional Artisan communication kit (USD 199) the roaster logs bean temperature to Artisan, where every sample roast is saved, named and replayed on your production machine. Without the kit you roast by the gauge setting, the timer and the sight window.
Size and heat. The SD 100G Plus is a gas drum for one 100–120 g sample bag at USD 899; the EC-500G is fully electric, 200–500 g a batch, 2.5 kW on 220–240 V, with a touchscreen, data logger and the Artisan module included at USD 1,699. Choose the 100g coffee roaster to judge coffee one bag at a time, the EC-500G where gas is not allowed or you also roast small lots to sell.
The roaster with its drum cover in your colour, the LPG burner with pressure gauge and 3/8 inch connector, the chaff and cooling trays, the sampling spoon, the tool kit and the manual. You add an LPG canister or a hose from a cylinder and a 220 V socket for the 30 W motor — or a small step-up transformer in a 110 V country — and the 100g coffee roaster is ready the day it arrives.
One unit is the minimum. From ten units the price drops to USD 799 each, in one colour or mixed, and distributors can order unbranded or with their own logo. Payment is 50% to start and 50% before shipment, with a test-roast video before the balance. You buy from the manufacturer: we have built drum roasters since 1990, today in our Shenzhen plant.
