The 15kg Coffee Roaster That Anchors a Wholesale Roastery
A 15kg coffee roaster is the size a roastery buys when wholesale accounts, not the café counter, set the weekly volume: 13–18 kg charges, a loader instead of a sack, and a destoner ahead of the drum. Two Yoshan machines cover it. The YS-15KG is semi-automatic — gas, airflow and drum speed on a Siemens touchscreen station, the drop your decision — at USD 10,999, and its electric version on 380 V three-phase costs the same. The SD-15KG Pro is fully automatic: a PLC replays your saved curve at 39–54 kg an hour and the vacuum loader is in the USD 16,999 price. Both are cast-iron, semi hot-air drums on the same footprint, so the choice between them is about who runs the roast, not how much coffee you can make.

What Is Built Into Every 15kg Coffee Roaster
Who Runs a 15kg Coffee Roaster
Four rooms this class ends up in, and which of the two machines goes into each.

You roast for cafés, hotels and supermarkets and the order book, not the counter, decides the week. The SD-15KG Pro runs 13–18 kg charges on a saved curve at 39–54 kg an hour, the loader lifts every charge, and a 3–5 minute cooling tray hands the drum back for the next batch. Add the YS-Q15 destoner in front of the hopper.

You roast at source — Ethiopia, Kenya, Indonesia, Guatemala — for export samples, a local brand and visiting buyers. The YS-15KG takes anything from 1 kg to 15 kg in the same cast-iron drum, runs on LPG cylinders where the grid is unreliable, and shows every roast on the Siemens station; if electricity is the steadier supply, the 380 V electric version costs the same.

You are building a roastery from a drawing, and the questions come in order: which gas, what the assembly diagram looks like in English, when the warranty starts, who does the first start-up. A buyer in Poland worked through exactly that list with us, question by question, before the line was specified.

Your 12 kg machine roasts every day and you are choosing the next drum. Fifteen kilos keeps you on single-phase gas, on the same footprint as the YS-12KG, at USD 10,999; twenty moves you to the YS-20 with loader at USD 18,999 and a 60–90 working-day build. Tell us your weekly kilos and we say which one pays.

What Ships in the Crate With the SD-15KG Pro
Every 15kg coffee roaster leaves with what your technician needs on day one. The SD-15KG Pro's crate carries the maintenance tool kit, hex keys and cleaning brushes, the USB data cable, four gas-hose sleeves, an aluminium-foil exhaust duct with two clamps, two fuses, the gas nozzle for your gas, a pressure gauge, the copper pipe kit and the manual — plus the vacuum loader. Nothing to source locally.
Semi-Automatic or Fully Automatic at 15 kg
On the YS-15KG you set gas, airflow and drum speed on the Siemens station, watch the curve and call the drop — for a roastmaster who wants the data and the decision. On the SD-15KG Pro the PLC follows the stored profile and calls its end point, so the roast holds whoever is on shift; charging and releasing the batch stay manual at this size. Same 15kg coffee roaster class, two ways to run it.

Gas, Electric and 380 V for a 15kg Coffee Roaster
Gas is the default on a 15kg coffee roaster: the YS-15KG takes 4 m³/h of natural gas or 1.4 m³/h of LPG, with a 220–240 V single-phase socket for its motors, the SD-15KG Pro natural gas at 4 m³/h or LPG at 1.5 kg/h. Where electricity is the steadier supply, the electric version of the YS-15KG runs 22.75 kW on 380 V three-phase at the same USD 10,999; the SD-15KG Pro electric is quoted on request.
Exhaust, Smoke Filter and Afterburner at 15 kg
Fifteen kilos is the ceiling of our mid-size flue equipment, so the choice is simple. Duct the 15kg coffee roaster outside; where neighbours or a landlord complain about visible smoke, the YS-JD-Q6 electrostatic unit handles 6,000 m³/h for USD 2,390; where a permit demands the smoke be destroyed rather than filtered, the YS-HR12 burns it at 30,000–50,000 kcal/h for USD 5,800. Both sit on the drawing we send with your layout.

Loader, Destoner and the Rest of the Line
Three machines usually travel with a 15kg coffee roaster. The vacuum loader carries green coffee 4.5 m up to the hopper — free with the SD-15KG Pro, USD 2,950 as the TSL-YS15 on the YS. The YS-Q15 pulls stones out of 15 kg in two minutes for USD 2,259, before they can meet cast iron. Grinder and packing machines go on the same quotation so one container brings the whole room.
Warranty From the Day You Receive It
Warranty on a 15kg coffee roaster runs for twelve months from the day the crate reaches your floor — not the day it leaves ours — and USD 699 at order makes that twenty-four. Ahead of shipment we build in your colour and for your gas, roast green coffee on the machine, film it, and send that video with photographs of the packed crate before you release the balance. Certificates: CE AH2023062101, RoHS AH2023062102; see them all.

FAQ
The SD-15KG Pro is rated 39–54 kg of roasted coffee an hour on 13–18 kg batches of 10–15 minutes. The YS-15KG turns a 1–15 kg batch in 12–15 minutes; hourly kilos then follow from your charge weight and roast level, which is why we work that number out with you rather than print one.
Yes. The YS-15KG electric heat-pipe version — a 15kg electric coffee roaster in the same body — runs 22.75 kW on 380 V three-phase and costs the same USD 10,999 as the 15kg gas coffee roaster; it ships without a plug and is wired to a breaker by your electrician. The SD-15KG Pro is gas as standard, and an electric version is quoted on request.
Either LPG from cylinders or natural gas from the line — tell us which and the regulator and burner are set for it before shipping. The YS-15KG uses natural gas at 4 m³/h or LPG at 1.4 m³/h; the SD-15KG Pro natural gas at 4 m³/h or LPG at 1.5 kg/h. Supply pressure and pipe size are on the drawing pack.
The one-year warranty starts on the day you receive the goods, not the day they leave the factory. You can extend it to two years for USD 699 when you order. Wear parts go by courier, our engineer works with yours on video, and the drawing pack and manual in the crate let your technician service the burner, bearings and cyclone locally.
Each machine is built to your colour and gas specification, so the confirmed delivery date is on your quotation and we send production photographs as it takes shape; shipping time is then quoted in calendar days for your port. First start-up is done with your team on a video call, after you have watched the test roast we filmed on our floor.
At 2290 × 1881 × 2279 mm and 758 kg the YS-15KG needs a checked doorway, a floor that carries it and headroom for the loader pipe; the Pro's dimensions come with its drawing pack. Leave working space in front of the drum door, around the tray, and a clear run for the duct.
Buy 15 kg to keep the YS-12KG footprint, a single-phase socket and a cylinder bank, at USD 10,999 or 16,999. Go to 20 kg when your weekly kilos outgrow what a 12–15 minute cycle delivers in a working day — the YS-20 with loader is USD 18,999 on a 60–90 working-day build.
The SD-15KG Pro ships with a maintenance tool kit, hex keys, cleaning brushes, a USB data cable, four gas-hose sleeves, an aluminium-foil exhaust duct with two clamps, two fuses, the gas nozzle for your gas, a pressure gauge, a copper pipe kit and the manual. Further spares are listed on the quotation and sent by courier.
Sizing Guide: Where a 15kg Coffee Roaster Fits, YS-15KG or SD-15KG Pro, and What It Costs Landed
Where 15 kg Sits in a Roastery
Fifteen kilos is the largest drum we build that still runs on a 220–240 V single-phase socket and a gas cylinder bank as standard, and the first that behaves like a plant: green coffee arrives on pallets, a loader charges the drum, and the destoner earns its place. That is why it is the roaster above 10 kg our customers order most often — it carries a wholesale book on a footprint, a price and a build time that a 20 kg line does not ask of you. If you roast most days and your 6 or 12 kg drum is running double shifts, this is the class to price.
YS-15KG or SD-15KG Pro
Both 15kg coffee roaster models have cast-iron drums and separate cooling trays. Choose the YS-15KG if roasting is a craft you keep in your own hands: the Siemens station shows the curve, you set gas, air and drum speed, and 1 kg samples and 15 kg production lots run in the same drum, for USD 10,999 in gas or electric form. Choose the SD-15KG Pro if the roast must be identical across shifts and operators: the PLC replays the approved profile at 39–54 kg an hour, the loader lifts every charge, and the accessory kit is in the crate, for USD 16,999.
Fifteen or Twenty
The step to 20 kg is bigger than five kilos. The YS-20 comes with its loader at USD 18,999 but is built to order over 60–90 working days; the SD-20KG Pro is a full hot-air machine sold as a set with loader and destoner at USD 38,599, with the afterburner on the layout drawing but priced separately. If your weekly volume is inside what a 12–15 minute cycle delivers in a working day, the 15kg coffee roaster for sale on this page is the better-priced machine; above that, ask us for the 20 kg drawing pack.
Site, Gas and Exhaust
Three site numbers decide whether the crate can even be delivered: 2290 × 1881 × 2279 mm, 758 kg on the YS-15KG, and the headroom your loader pipe needs. Measure them, take the Pro's from its drawing pack, then check supply — gas sized for 4 m³/h natural or 1.4–1.5 kg/h LPG, a 220–240 V socket, a duct run outside, and three-phase 380 V only for the electric YS-15KG. A floor sketch is enough for us to return a layout.
Landed Cost, Lead Time and Payment
The machine prices are complete-machine, EXW Shenzhen: USD 10,999 for the YS-15KG, USD 16,999 for the Pro with its loader. Line equipment adds USD 2,259, 2,390 or 5,800 as you choose it. What matters for comparison is the landed figure, so the quotation carries freight to your port, insurance and a DDP line to your door beside the machine price, plus the delivery date confirmed for your build. Half opens the order; the balance follows the test-roast video, before the crate leaves.
