Unboxing Checklist: What Is in the Crate

The crate is open, the machine is on the floor, and the gas fitter is coming tomorrow. This is the moment to find a missing part — not next week. Here is exactly what ships with a Yoshan roaster, model by model, and what to do in the first day.

Where this step sits

This is the first thing that happens after export packing and sea freight, and before installation and exhaust. Everything on this list was counted against the packing list at final QC before the case was closed.

Yoshan coffee roaster – e4 final assembly chaff cyclone collector

Standard accessories, SD series (SD-15 Pro and up; smaller SD models similar)

The accessory kit packed with SD series roasters:

Item Qty What it is for
Maintenance tool kit 1 Routine service — drum door, bearings, belt tension
Allen wrench set 1 Panel and trim fasteners
Cleaning brush head 1 Chaff cyclone, drum door, cooling tray perforations
Data logger USB cable 1 Connecting the machine to a PC for curve logging
Gas pipe grommets 4 Sealing the gas line where it passes through the body
Aluminium foil exhaust pipe 1 First length of flexible exhaust from the machine to your duct
Pipe clamps 2 Securing the exhaust pipe
Circuit fuses 2 Spares for the control panel
Gas appliance nozzle (gas models) 1 Spare nozzle for the fitted gas type
Pressure gauge 1 Spare/replacement gauge for the gas train
Copper pipe sleeve set 1 Gas connection fittings for your fitter
User’s manual and wiring diagram 1 Installation, operation, maintenance — the item customers most often ask us to resend, so check it is in the crate on day one

DY series machines ship with the chaff cyclone fitted or packed alongside, the data cable for USB/Bluetooth logging, the gas fittings for the ordered gas type, and the manual. EC-500G ships with the chaff cyclone and cooling tray (both included in the 33 kg net weight), the power cable and the manual. YS series kits follow the SD list with model-specific fittings; the exact list is on your packing list.

Larger machines ship the cyclone, hopper and on some models the cooling tray as separate packed items in the same or a second case — see the packing list and the export packing page.

Five things to do in the first 24 hours

  1. Photograph the crate before opening, all sides, including the ISPM-15 stamp and any marks on the case. If there is transit damage this is what the claim needs.
  2. Check the nameplate against your order: model, serial, voltage, gas type. Then check the machine against the video you were sent.
  3. Lay out the accessory kit and tick it against the packing list. Anything missing — tell us the same day with a photo of what you have.
  4. Do not connect gas or power yet. Read the installation section of the manual and the installation and exhaust page, and confirm the supply and the exhaust route are ready.
  5. Remove all transit fixings — the machine is bolted to the base and some moving parts (cooling arm, drum door) may be tied. Everything that was tied is listed in the manual.

After that, the sequence is: gas fitter and electrician connect the supplies; exhaust connected; dry run; then commissioning batches to season the drum.

What this means for you

  • No hunt for parts on installation day. The nozzle, the gauge, the fuses, the sleeve set — the parts that stop an installation are in the box.
  • A missing item is found on day one, while the shipment is still open with the forwarder and while we can send a replacement by courier.
  • Your gas fitter has what they need, which makes them more willing to work on an imported machine.

How to verify this on any roaster

Before you order, ask the factory for the accessory list for the model — in writing. Then, at final QC, ask for a photo of the kit laid out. On arrival, tick the packing list. Three checks, none of which cost anything, and they remove the most common post-delivery complaint in this industry: “it arrived without the fittings”.

Frequently asked questions

Is the manual available in Spanish or Arabic?

Yes. English is standard; Spanish and Arabic manuals are available for most models. Tell us at order and the correct language ships with the machine.

The exhaust pipe in the kit is short. Is that all I need?

The foil pipe is the flexible first section from the machine’s exhaust outlet to your fixed duct. The duct run to the outside — rigid pipe, elbows, roof or wall penetration — is prepared on site, and your spec sheet gives the outlet size. See the installation and exhaust page.

What if something is missing or damaged?

Send us a photo of the packing list and the kit as received within the first days after delivery. Small items are sent by courier; anything larger is handled with the forwarder under transit insurance. Our warranty and spare parts page covers the process.

Do I need to buy any tools to install the machine?

For the machine itself, the kit covers routine work. Your gas fitter and electrician bring their own tools for the supply connections. A pallet jack or forklift is needed to move larger machines off the base.

Final thoughts

The best delivery is an uneventful one: the crate opens, the list ticks, the machine matches the video. The accessory kit is part of that, which is why it is counted at final QC and printed on the packing list. Next is installation and exhaust, and for anything that needs replacing later, warranty and spare parts. Or return to the full build sequence.

Tell us your country, voltage, gas type and kilograms per week — we will send the matching spec sheet with the accessory list for that model. Request the spec sheet · WhatsApp: +86 184 0771 4607
