Final QC and Remote Video Inspection: See Your Machine Run Before You Pay the Balance

“Can you send a video?” is the single most common request we get from buyers, and it is a reasonable one. You are paying for a machine you have not touched, from a factory you have not visited. The answer is yes, for every machine, and this page explains exactly what you will see and what to ask for.

Where this step sits

Final QC is the last of the three inspections every machine receives, after the test roast and before export packing. The video is made at this point, so what you see is the finished, tested machine — not a machine still on the line.

What final QC checks

The final inspection sheet for a roaster covers, in order:

  1. Identity. Serial number, model, colour, gas type and voltage match your order and the nameplate.
  2. Body and finish. Panels aligned, no scratches or coating defects, all fasteners present, trim and badges fitted.
  3. Gas train. Leak test passed and recorded; pressure gauge reading correct at idle; solenoid closes on power-off.
  4. Electrical. Earth continuity and insulation test passed; every motor and fan runs in the correct direction; emergency stop works.
  5. Roast function. Test roast completed; bean and air probes track; drum speed and airflow adjust through their range; cooling tray reaches hand temperature in the stated time.
  6. Accessories. Tool kit, spare fuses, gas nozzle, pressure gauge, exhaust pipe, USB cable, manual — counted against the packing list. See what is in the crate.
  7. Documentation. Inspection sheet signed; test roast curve filed against the serial number.

Only when every line is signed off does the machine go to packing.

The video

Every machine is filmed running before it is crated. Two formats are available:

Recorded. A short video showing the machine from all sides, the serial plate, the drum turning, the flame, a roast in progress and beans dropping into the cooling tray. Sent to you with the inspection sheet.

Live call. You choose the time (we work around your time zone), the platform, and what you want to look at. A technician is at the machine with a phone and can open panels, run the cooling tray, show the gauge, or run a full roast cycle while you watch. Live calls are the norm for first orders and for distributors; we recommend them.

Eight things to ask to see

Whether you are inspecting our machine or anyone else’s, ask to see these on the call:

  1. The nameplate — serial, voltage, gas type — and confirm it against your order.
  2. The drum turning, from the front with the door open before heating.
  3. The flame at low and high setting, through the sight port.
  4. The gas pressure gauge reading with the burner on.
  5. The control screen or panel with live temperatures during the roast.
  6. Beans dropping and the cooling tray running.
  7. The inside of the control cabinet.
  8. The accessory kit laid out.

Anything you want in addition — a specific panel, the underside, the exhaust flange — ask. The point of the call is that you decide what is looked at.

What customers say

“Sent me videos at the conclusion of production,” wrote a buyer in the USA in 2024; a customer in the Philippines asked us to “send pictures of the item before packing” and got them. These are the two requests we hear most, and the video is how we answer both.

Third-party inspection

If your company policy or your bank requires it, you can appoint an independent inspector — SGS, BV, TÜV, Intertek or another agency — to attend the final QC in our plant. Give us the agency’s contact and the inspector will be scheduled against the machine’s test date. Our factory itself has been audited on site by SGS; the product certificates are on the certifications page.

What this means for you

  • The balance payment is made against a machine you have seen working, not against a promise.
  • Any discrepancy is caught in our factory, where it costs an hour to fix, not in your building, where it costs a month.
  • You have a record — the video and the inspection sheet — that travels with the machine’s serial number for its whole life.

How to verify this on any factory

Ask for a video of your machine, showing its serial plate, running. Not a showroom machine, not a promotional clip. Then ask for the inspection sheet with the same serial number. If either is not available, the machine has not been through a final QC of the kind described here.

Frequently asked questions

When in the order process does the video happen?

After production and testing, before packing, and before the balance payment is due. The sequence is set out on our how to order page: 50% deposit → production → test → video inspection → 50% balance → packing and shipping.

Can I keep the video?

Yes. Recorded videos are sent to you; live calls can be recorded on your side. We keep our copy against the serial number.

What if I see something I am not happy with?

Tell us on the call. Cosmetic issues are corrected before packing. Functional issues are corrected and the affected test is repeated, with a second video if you want one. The machine does not ship until you have seen it right.

Can a distributor inspect on behalf of their customer?

Yes. Many of our distributor partners join the call with their end customer, or run the call themselves and forward the recording. Tell us who will attend.

Final thoughts

Trust is easier to give when it is not required. Every Yoshan roaster is filmed running before it is crated, and you can watch live. That, together with the test roast and the three-stage inspection, is how a machine leaves Shenzhen with no surprises left in it. The next step is export packing, or return to the full build sequence.

Tell us your country, voltage, gas type and kilograms per week — we will send the matching spec sheet, and book your inspection call when the machine is built. Request the spec sheet · WhatsApp: +86 184 0771 4607
