One-Year Warranty and Spare Parts: What Is Covered, and How Parts Reach You

The question behind “what is your warranty?” is really “when this breaks in Nairobi or Manila, who fixes it and how long am I down?” This page answers that question directly: what we cover, what we do not, which parts wear, and how a part gets from Shenzhen to your roastery.

Where this step sits

This is the last step in the build sequence — the part that continues after installation and training for the life of the machine. Our after-sales support article gives the overview; this page is the detail.

The warranty

Every Yoshan roaster carries a One Year Limited Warranty. In our own words, as printed on every quotation: if any parts fail without human damage within one year, we will send replacement parts by air express at our cost; 24/7 lifetime phone and online technical support. Diagnosis and replacement are supported remotely — by video call, photos and written instructions — and the CEO hotline on our quotation is there for anything that is not resolved quickly.

Extended warranty is available at order: DY series 2 years +USD 299 or 3 years +USD 799; SD and YS series 2 years +USD 699.

Covered: drum, drive motors, control system and PLC/screen, thermocouples, burner and gas train components, fans, cooling system, body and frame — anything that fails in normal use because it was not made or assembled correctly.

Not covered: consumables and wear parts replaced as part of normal maintenance (see below); damage from operating outside the manual — wrong gas or voltage, quenching a hot drum, running without chaff removal; damage from unauthorised modification; and transit damage, which is handled under shipping insurance rather than warranty.

How a claim works: send us the serial number, a description, and photos or a short video of the fault. In most cases we can diagnose from that within a day. If a part is needed, it is sent by courier; if a technician’s guidance is needed, we schedule a video call at your time. We do not ask you to ship a machine back to China for a warranty repair.

Wear parts and what to keep on the shelf

Every roaster has parts that wear with use. They are not defects; they are the parts designed to be replaced so the expensive parts are not. For a Yoshan roaster:

Part Typical attention Why it wears
Chaff screen / cyclone parts Inspect when emptying; replace if torn The item customers most often reorder
Drum bearings Inspect and grease per the maintenance schedule; replace when noisy Heat and continuous rotation
Drive belts (where fitted) Check tension; replace when cracked or glazed Normal wear
Thermocouples Replace if reading drifts or becomes erratic Probe tip fatigue in the bean mass
Door and hopper seals Replace when hardened Heat cycling
Sight glass Replace if crazed or coated beyond cleaning Heat and coffee oils
Fuses Replace as needed (two spares in the kit) Protection devices by design
Gas nozzle Replace if damaged or when changing gas type Spare in the kit

Our maintenance schedule sets out daily, weekly and monthly tasks. For a production roastery we recommend keeping a set of bearings, a thermocouple, a belt and seals on the shelf from day one — small items that avoid a week of downtime waiting for a courier.

How parts reach you

  • Small parts — thermocouples, fuses, seals, nozzles, gauges, bearings, chaff screens — go by international air express; under warranty, at our cost.
  • Larger items — a motor, a screen, a burner — go by courier or air freight depending on size.
  • Planned orders — a spares kit ordered with the machine, or with your next machine, ships in the same container at no freight cost.

Because the control system on YS and SD Pro machines is Siemens, the burners on the largest machines are Weishaupt, and the motors on the YS series are ADDKA, several of the most important components are standard industrial parts available through local distributors in many countries. The key components page lists them. You are never dependent on a single source in China for a part that could stop production.

What customers say

“Replacement parts supplied by air freight without additional cost,” wrote a buyer in Denmark. “New parts were shipped directly,” from Canada; “the supplied part fit perfectly,” from El Salvador. In our store reviews since 2020, no roaster has received a low rating for the machine itself — the few low ratings concern a plug, a spare part or an out-of-warranty board.

What this means for you

  • A known downtime, not an unknown one. A thermocouple fails; you have one on the shelf or one arrives by courier in days. Either way you know the number.
  • No machine goes back to China. Diagnosis and repair happen where the machine is, with our technicians on a video call.
  • Warranty is the same whether you bought direct or through a distributor, and the same on OEM-branded machines.

How to verify this on any roaster

Ask any supplier three things before ordering: the warranty period in writing, a list of the wear parts with an indication of price, and the courier time for a spare thermocouple to your city. Then ask which components are standard industrial brands available locally. Those four answers tell you what year two will cost.

Frequently asked questions

Can I still buy parts after the warranty ends?

Yes. Parts are supplied for the life of the machine. We have customers running roasters bought many years ago, and the drum, body and frame of a cast-iron machine last far longer than a year.

How often should drum bearings be replaced?

It depends on hours run and on whether they are greased on schedule. In a busy roastery, inspect them at the intervals in the maintenance schedule and replace at the first sign of noise or roughness rather than waiting for failure. Bearings are inexpensive; a seized bearing is not.

Can I diagnose a fault remotely with you?

Yes. Most faults are identified from a photo or a short video and a description of what the machine was doing. Our support line runs 24/7 and we can be on a video call at your time.

Can I order a full spares kit with the machine?

Yes, and we recommend it for production roasteries and for distributors. It ships in the crate at no extra freight and covers the first year or two of wear items.

Final thoughts

A warranty is a promise; the spare parts shelf is the plan. We give you both — one year on the whole machine, 24/7 remote support, standard components you can source locally, and a courier route for everything else. The after-sales support article covers training and commissioning support, and the support page is where to reach us. Or return to the full build sequence.

Tell us your country, voltage, gas type and kilograms per week — we will send the matching spec sheet with the recommended spares kit for that model. Request the spec sheet · WhatsApp: +86 184 0771 4607
