What We Mean by Coffee Roaster
On this page a coffee roaster is the machine, not the shop: a heated drum that turns green coffee into something you can sell. You can choose from 100 g sample drums up to 300 kg production lines, in five families — two sample machines, the DY entry drums, the manual and semi-automatic SD, the fully automatic SD Pro and the Siemens-controlled YS. We do not make hot-air home roasters. If you already know your size, the cards above open each model; if you do not, the tables below sort every coffee roaster by output, fuel and control. Every coffee roaster for sale here shows its price, and every one is built in our Shenzhen plant.

What Every Yoshan Coffee Roaster Shares
Which Coffee Roaster Fits Your Site
Start from the room the machine will stand in: the power, the gas and the way out for smoke decide more than the brochure does.

If the roaster will sit behind your bar and the building has no gas supply, the choice narrows quickly to an electric coffee roaster. The DY drums run on single-phase 220–240 V at the same price as gas, the EC-500G plugs in for samples and training, and the electric SD-1.5KG needs three-phase 380 V. Ask your electrician what the room can supply before you settle on a size.

A light-industrial unit with a gas supply and a route out through the roof is where a 3 kg to 6 kg coffee roaster earns its place. Gas gives you quick, responsive heat, the flue carries smoke outside, and a cast-iron SD or a YS on its Siemens station can roast most of a working day. It is also the size where a manual drum versus a fully automatic Pro becomes a question of staff hours.

Once you roast for other people's shelves, a professional coffee roaster has to hold a curve across a full shift and be fed without anyone lifting sacks. The loader is in the price from SD-6KG Pro and from YS-20 upward, most 12–30 kg machines are gas-fired, and every YS brings Siemens control. Plan your floor around the cooling tray, the loader and the duct run.

At 60 kg and above a large coffee roaster stops being a single machine and becomes a line: roaster, loader, destoner and afterburner set out on your floor plan. These sizes run on three-phase 380 V, gas only, and are built to order. Send the drawing of your building and the output you need per shift, and you get back a layout with each unit placed where it will actually stand.

Drum, Not Hot Air
Every Yoshan coffee roaster is a drum machine: the beans tumble inside a heated drum while hot air is drawn through them, which gives you the body and control a roastery sells on. The sample drums are 304 stainless steel, the DY drum is double-walled stainless, and the SD and YS drums are cast iron. If you want a fluid-bed hot-air roaster for a kitchen, we are the wrong supplier, and we would rather say so here.
Sizing From Your Weekly Kilos
A small batch coffee roaster for a café and a production drum for wholesale are sized the same way: from what you sell, not what you hope to sell. Divide your weekly kilos by the hours you can give to roasting, then read the result against the output table: 4–9 kg an hour is the SD-1.5KG, 8–12 kg the SD-3KG, 18–28 kg the SD-6KG Pro. Growing fast? Take the next size and keep headroom.

Where Gas Takes Over From Electric
A gas coffee roaster gives fast, responsive heat; an electric drum roaster needs no gas line and suits rooms where a burner is not allowed. Up to 15 kg you can choose: DY, EC-500G, SD-1.5, SD-3, SD-6KG Pro and YS-6 to YS-15 all come as electric machines, most of them on three-phase 380 V. From 20 kg every SD Pro and YS is gas only, running on LPG or natural gas.
Manual, Semi-Automatic or Fully Automatic
A manual coffee roaster makes you the controller: heat, air and drop are your hands on the buttons, which is how most roastmasters learn. Semi-automatic means a PID system on the SD-6KG or a Siemens station on every YS, holding settings while you decide when to drop. Fully automatic is the SD Pro: a fully automatic coffee roaster stores the approved curve and repeats it, so a second person can run the same roast.

What the Room Has to Give the Machine
Check two things before a coffee roaster arrives. Power: gas machines from 1 to 15 kg run on single-phase 220–240 V, 20–30 kg on 220 or 380 V, and 60 kg upward on three-phase 380 V; in 110 V countries plan a transformer or a 220 V commercial supply. Smoke: a flue to the outside, or an electrostatic filter sized to the drum. Your local authority sets the limits, so send them and the equipment is sized to meet them.
Prices Here, Terms on the Quote
Every coffee roaster on this page carries its price in US dollars, EXW Shenzhen, so you can compare models before you write to us. The quotation adds freight, insurance or DDP delivery to your door and dates the build. You pay half to start and half before shipment, after your machine has been test-roasted with green coffee and you have watched the video of it running.

FAQ
Prices start at USD 899 for the SD 100G Plus sample drum and reach USD 289,999 for the SD-360KG Pro complete set, all EXW Shenzhen. The café sizes run from USD 2,599 for the DY-1KG to 12,999 for the SD-6KG Pro, and 12–30 kg production machines from USD 9,980 to 51,499. The coffee roaster price on each card above is the machine alone; freight and DDP delivery are quoted separately.
You are buying from the builder. Yoshan has made coffee roasters since 1990, and today every DY, SD, SD Pro and YS machine is assembled and test-roasted in our Shenzhen plant before it is crated, so a Chinese coffee roaster bought from us comes from the people who built it. The factory tour page shows the workshop floor, and you are welcome to visit before you order.
The DY-1KG and DY-2KG connect over USB or Bluetooth, the EC-500G has its Artisan module built in, and a USD 199 kit adds logging to the SD 100G Plus. SD Pro machines store and repeat curves on their own PLC touchscreen, and YS machines run a Siemens station, so ask which logging option suits the model you have chosen.
Yes. Standard colours and your logo cost nothing extra on DY and YS machines, and on a YS your logo is applied to both side panels and to the start-up screen. Plated or fully custom finishes on SD machines are priced on the quotation. Send a colour reference with your enquiry and we confirm the finish before the build starts.
Yes. Loaders are already in the price from SD-6KG Pro and YS-20 upward, destoners from SD-20KG Pro and on YS-240 and YS-360, and afterburners on the SD-30KG, SD-60KG, SD-120KG and SD-360KG Pro. For other combinations, smoke filters, destoners and industrial grinders ordered together with a roaster are priced at 20% off their list price.
Twelve months from the day it arrives. If a part fails without misuse inside that year, the replacement goes by air express at our cost, and phone and online technical support is available 24/7 for the life of the machine. Extensions: SD and YS to two years for USD 699; DY to two years for an extra USD 299, or to three years for USD 799. In Southeast Asia, SD-20KG Pro to SD-360KG Pro lines include one engineer visit for commissioning; you cover local travel and meals.
One machine is the minimum for every coffee roaster and every piece of line equipment. Quantity changes the price in only a few places: the SD 100G Plus drops from USD 899 to 799 each from ten units, and equipment ordered with a roaster is discounted. If you are buying for resale, tell us the quantities and we price the wholesale coffee roaster order on one quotation.
Buying a Coffee Roaster: What Kind, How Big, Which Fuel, Who Runs It and What It Costs
Three Things People Mean by Coffee Roaster
Search for a coffee roaster and you will be shown three different things: companies that roast and sell beans, small hot-air machines for a home kitchen, and the commercial coffee bean roaster that roasteries run. This page is about the third. A drum roaster is chosen for the flavour control and batch size a business needs, and it is bought once and run for years, so the questions below are about fitting it to your trade rather than to a countertop.
Batch Size and the Shape of Your Week
The DY drums finish a roast in 12–15 minutes and the SD-120KG Pro in 18–25, so the hourly output of any machine is really batch size times roasts per hour. Map your week before you choose: how many days you roast, how many hours, and how much stock you hold between sessions. To roast 100 kg, a 3kg coffee roaster at 8–12 kg an hour needs between eight and thirteen hours; an SD-6KG Pro at 18–28 kg an hour needs four to six. That gap is labour, and it is also how fast you can answer a large order.
Fuel Follows the Building
Most buyers decide gas or electric by what the site already has. A café in a shopping centre rarely gets permission for a burner, so electric decides it; a unit on an industrial estate with gas on site usually runs a gas coffee roaster. Tell us what the site already has, gas pressure or three-phase power, and we will say which versions fit before you choose a size.
Who Will Stand at the Machine
A manual drum rewards one skilled person who is there for every batch. If you plan to hand roasting to staff, or to run the same blend for wholesale customers week after week, a fully automatic SD Pro repeats the curve your roastmaster approved and frees that person for cupping and green buying. Semi-automatic YS machines sit between the two, keeping settings steady while a person still calls the drop.
Reading the Price
Every figure on this page is EXW Shenzhen: the machine on our dock, with its cyclone, tool kit and manual. Larger machines also carry their loader, and some their destoner and afterburner, inside the price, as each card states. Freight, insurance and local installation depend on where you are, so they arrive on the quotation rather than on the page, which keeps the numbers you compare here like for like.
