Which Size of Coffee Roasting Machine Fits Your Volume
Size a coffee roaster machine from the coffee you sell in a week, not from the biggest drum you can afford. Divide your weekly roasted coffee by the batches you are willing to run, then allow for roast loss and a slow day. One short roasting session a week is 1–3 kg work, the small coffee roaster machine range for a small business. A daily shift feeding wholesale accounts is where 6–15 kg gives you back your hours. Several shifts, private label or supermarket packing points to 20 kg and up. The hourly figures below are from our catalogue; YS machines are listed by batch and cycle because that is how the catalogue states them.

What Every Yoshan Coffee Roaster Machine Is Built With
Who Buys a Production Coffee Roaster Machine
Four kinds of buyer, and what each one is really paying for.

Your 3 kg drum runs every afternoon and the wholesale list keeps growing. A 6kg coffee roaster machine doubles each charge without doubling your hours, from USD 7,499 for the semi-automatic YS-6KG. Keep the small drum for samples and single origins. One buyer had us price 6, 12 and 15 kg in both versions before deciding; it is the quickest way to see your own step up.

You supply cafés and offices every week, and the machine sets how many accounts you can take. At 12 and 15 kg the SD Pro machines run 18–52 and 39–54 kg an hour from one operator, with the loader already in the price. If your staff should follow a curve rather than write one, the fully automatic version is where the extra USD 6,000 goes.

You grow or buy green at origin and want to sell roasted coffee instead of sacks. A 12 or 15 kg YS coffee roasting machine on a Siemens screen takes charges from 1 kg upward, so the same drum roasts a sample lot in the morning and a full export batch after lunch. Where gas supply is patchy and three-phase power is there, the electric YS-15KG costs the same as gas.

You are planning a roasting floor rather than buying one machine. From 20 kg every Yoshan is gas fired and quoted with its line: loader, destoner and, on the SD-30, 60, 120 and 360 Pro sets, the afterburner too. Send us the floor plan and we lay the equipment out to it, so the loader, roaster and cooling fit the room you have.

Semi-Automatic or Fully Automatic at the Same Size
At 6, 12 and 15 kg you choose between a YS coffee roaster machine on a Siemens touchscreen, where your roaster steers each batch, and an SD Pro that stores an approved curve for heat and airflow and repeats it. The Pro costs USD 5,500–6,019 more than the semi-automatic YS at the same size and includes the vacuum loader. Charging the beans and opening the drum door stay manual up to 15 kg; SD-20 Pro and up add pneumatic discharge.
Gas or Electric Coffee Roaster Machine
Every SD and YS coffee roaster machine is offered on LPG or natural gas; natural gas needs at least 3 kPa at the burner. Electric suits a site where a gas line is hard to get: the SD-6KG Pro and YS-15KG cost the same electric, on 380 V three-phase, while electric YS-6KG and YS-12KG are quoted on request. From 20 kg, every machine is gas only.

Loader, Destoner, Smoke: What the Price Includes
Read a coffee roaster machine price together with what it carries. SD Pro 6–15 kg and every YS from 20 kg include the vacuum loader. YS-240, YS-360, SD-20 Pro and SD-240 Pro add the destoner, and the SD-30, 60, 120 and 360 Pro are complete sets with the afterburner. A destoner, electrostatic smoke filter or industrial grinder ordered with your roaster is 20% off.
Moving Up From a 1–3 kg Machine
When your 3kg coffee roaster machine runs most afternoons, look at 6 kg before buying a second small drum: one operator, one exhaust, twice the charge. Keep the small machine for samples and new origins. Expect to rebuild your profiles, because a larger drum holds more heat and responds differently; curves logged on the old machine are the starting point, not the finished answer.

Coffee Roasting Equipment for a Full Line
From 20 kg the coffee roaster machine is one part of a line: vacuum loader, destoner, roaster, cooling tray, afterburner or smoke filter, then grinding and packing. We quote the coffee roasting equipment together so the capacities match, and the industrial YS machines run around the clock with their stirring cooling trays. We plan the exhaust and dust route into that layout, and on-site installation is quoted per project.
From Deposit to Your Door
Your coffee roaster machine is built after a 50% deposit, and the balance is paid before shipment. Before crating it is fired with green coffee and you receive the test-roast video with the packing photos. It leaves EXW Shenzhen in a film-wrapped wooden case with cyclone, tools and manual; we quote freight to your port or door, and the one-year warranty sends parts by air express.

FAQ
The price on each card is EXW Shenzhen. We add sea or air freight and insurance to your port, or door delivery, on the same quotation, worked out from your model's crate size and weight. Import duty and taxes are set by your country and paid on arrival, so ask your broker for the rate on roasting machinery before you compare offers.
DY machines connect to Artisan over USB or Bluetooth. YS machines from 6 to 15 kg can be built with Artisan control in place of the Siemens station, priced on request. SD Pro machines run their own curve system on the PLC touchscreen. Tell us before the build which software your roaster already uses, and ask for the connection notes with your quotation.
Ten kilos roasted is roughly twelve kilos of green once roast loss is counted. On an SD-3KG at 8–12 kg an hour that is one to one and a half hours of roasting; on a 6 kg machine it is two or three batches. If the ten kilos are growing, start at 6 kg and keep the hours for selling rather than roasting.
Every machine ships with its cyclone for chaff. Where the exhaust cannot go straight outside, an electrostatic filter removes over 95% of the smoke; where your authority asks for it, an afterburner burns it off, and it is already inside the SD-30, 60, 120 and 360 Pro sets. What is allowed indoors is decided locally, so send us the requirement and we size the equipment to it.
Machines up to 15 kg are built to order and the date is written on your quotation. YS machines from 20 kg take 60–90 working days, and YS-120 to YS-360 three to six months; SD Pro lines are confirmed on the quotation. You receive progress photos while it is built, so you can plan the room and the freight around a real date.
Warranty is one year: parts that fail without human damage are sent by air express at our cost, with 24/7 online technical support. The start date and a recommended spare-parts list for your model are written on your quotation, so ask for both before paying the deposit. SD and YS machines extend to two years for USD 699.
The safeguards are practical. Prices are published, the deposit is 50% and the balance is due only after you have seen the test-roast video and packing photos, and Alibaba Trade Assurance is available. We have built roasters since 1990, today in our Shenzhen plant, and buyers in 79 countries have left reviews on our store.
Buying a Coffee Roaster Machine for Production: Size, Automation, Fuel, Line and Landed Cost
Size From the Week, Not the Batch
The number on a coffee roaster machine is the green coffee it takes per batch, but your business runs on the roasted coffee you sell per week. Start there. Take the weekly figure, add the weight lost in roasting, and divide by the batches you are prepared to run in the hours you actually have. A roaster who fills a 6 kg drum four times an hour has a very different week from one who runs a 3 kg drum all afternoon. Leave headroom: a drum filled to its limit every batch gives you no room for a new account or a busy season. Our catalogue gives hourly output for the SD machines — 18–28 kg on the SD-6KG Pro, 18–52 kg on the SD-12KG Pro, 39–54 kg on the SD-15KG Pro — and batch plus cycle time for YS, so do the arithmetic with those figures rather than with a round number.
Semi or Fully Automatic Is a Labour Decision
The difference between the two versions at 6, 12 and 15 kg is not the drum; it is who controls the roast. On a YS machine the Siemens touchscreen gives your roaster the controls and the readings, and the person at the machine makes the calls. On an SD Pro the PLC stores the curve your head roaster approved and repeats heat and airflow for every batch, so someone with less experience can run a shift and the coffee still matches. If one skilled person does all your roasting, the semi-automatic machine saves you USD 5,500–6,019. If several people share the shifts, or you are about to hire, the fully automatic machine is what keeps your blend the same on Monday and Friday — and at these sizes it also brings the loader.
Gas, Electric and What Your Building Allows
Check the site before the machine. Gas coffee roasting machines need a supply the burner can rely on; for natural gas that means at least 3 kPa. Electric machines need three-phase 380 V from 6 kg upward, and they ship without a plug for your electrician to wire to a leakage breaker. Voltage on the gas machines is modest — single-phase 220–240 V up to 15 kg — so a gas machine suits many sites that have no heavy three-phase supply. In countries on 110 V, confirm your supply first; a transformer is usually the answer. From 20 kg every machine is gas only, so a plant without a gas line has to solve that before it orders.
The Rest of the Coffee Roasting Equipment
A roaster on its own is rarely the whole purchase. A vacuum loader lifts green beans into the hopper so nobody carries sacks overhead. A destoner takes stones out of green coffee before they reach your drum and grinder. A smoke filter or afterburner deals with exhaust where the duct cannot simply go outside. Then come grinding, weighing and packing. Buying these separately from different suppliers is how capacities end up mismatched — a loader too slow for the drum, a cooling tray that backs up — so size them together, around the batch you will actually run, and check the block above for what each price already includes.
What Lands at Your Door
Every price on this page is EXW Shenzhen in US dollars, which means the machine is ready at our plant and freight is added on top. We quote sea or air freight and insurance to your port or your door on the same document, worked out from your model's crate. Import duty and taxes are set by your country and paid on arrival. Put the landed figure next to your weekly volume and the right coffee roaster machine is usually obvious.
